Hello and welcome!

 

I have been playing drums since the age of 7, when my dad (also a drummer) taught me some rudiments on a piece of old wood with some even older drumsticks, and it has been my love as well as my profession ever since. I spent many years playing the pub circuit on the Isle of Wight, before moving to Bath where I started playing small festivals and touring with  many different bands, sleeping in the van and on people's floors and enjoying myself immensely! I joined Bath-based reggae legends The Rhythm-ites in 1996 and toured with them for the next 2 years. In 2000, after a brief stint of travelling around Morocco and Spain, I joined the psychedelic Space Rock band Ozric Tentacles and toured extensively with them for the next 5 years, also recording the albums 'Spirals in Hyperspace' and 'Live at the Pongmaster's Ball' (also on DVD). After leaving Ozric Tentacles, I returned to the Isle of Wight and started looking for something new to get my teeth into. A series of very bizarre events led me to an audition for Courtney Love, who was looking to put a new band together. I spent the next few years with her, recording the album 'Nobodys Daughter'  in Los Angeles and touring across the globe, playing festivals, TV shows, arenas and stadiums, as well as sweaty punk clubs, parties in the Hollywood Hills and even the Playboy Mansion!

 

I co-own a production company called Skinny Mammoth Productions that produce a variety of music and corporate videos, specialise in Live Internet Streaming, and record high end audio in our purpose built recording studio here on the Isle of Wight. I am the house session drummer at the studio and, as such, have played on countless EP's, albums and singles, as well as creating bespoke music for various promotional videos. Having the opportunity to play so many different styles is a wonderful aspect of my job. You never know who you will be working with from one day to the next. This year, I am starting to do remote sessions from the studio, so please do get in touch if you would like me to play on your music!

 

I am an avid collector of drums, percussion, cymbals... pretty much anything that makes a noise makes me happy!
